The health benefits of yoga
Some types of yoga are about relaxation. In others, you move more. Most types focus on learning, which is called asanas. They also usually focus on breathing.
Yoga for relaxation:
Some styles of yoga, such as ashting and power yoga, are very physical. Following one of these styles will help you improve your muscle tone.
But even less exciting styles of yoga, such as Iyengar or Hatha, can provide strength and endurance benefits.
Many poses, such as the lower dog, the upper dog, and the plaque pose, strengthen the upper body. They are more likely to stand up, especially if you hold them for several long breaths to build strength in your hamstrings, quadriceps and abs. The position that strengthens the lumbar spine is the upward position of the dog and the chair.
When cured, almost all poses develop core strength in the deep abdominal muscles.
Better posture than yoga:
When you are stronger and more flexible, your currency is better.
Basic strength is created in most standing and sitting positions, as you need your core muscles to support and maintain each posture.
With a strong cover, you are more likely to sit and stand "tall".
Yoga also helps to awaken your body. This helps you to notice quickly if you are crushing or crawling, so you can adjust your currency.
Breathing benefits:
Yoga usually involves focusing on your breathing, which helps you relax. It may also require specific breathing techniques.
. But yoga is not usually aerobic, like running or cycling, unless it is an intense form of yoga or you are doing it in a warm room.

Some yoga styles use meditation techniques that help calm the mind. Focusing on your breath during yoga can do just that.
Good for your heart:
Yoga has long been known to lower blood pressure and slow down the heart rate. A faster heart rate can benefit people with high blood pressure or heart disease, and people who have had a stroke.
Yoga has also been linked to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and a better immune system.
